  • X-acto knife or small chisel (for removing old adhesive)

  • 2x4 wooden pieces with wood shims (to support basin during curing)

  • Rubbing alcohol and clean cloth

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Prepare the Area

  • Carefully remove old adhesive or silicone from the underside of the countertop and the lip of the sink basin using an X-acto knife or chisel.

  • Wipe all bonding surfaces clean with rubbing alcohol to remove dust, grease, or residue.

2. Apply Silicone

  • Apply a continuous bead of 100% silicone around the edge of the sink basin where it will contact the underside of the countertop.

3. Position the Basin

  • Lift the sink basin into place under the countertop.

  • Support it securely by placing 2x4 wooden braces beneath the basin and tightening them with shims to hold it firmly in position.

  • Ensure the basin is flush and properly aligned.

4. Curing Time

  • Leave the basin supported and undisturbed for at least 24–48 hours to allow the silicone to fully cure.

  • Once cured, remove the braces and shims carefully.
