Countertop Basin Installation Guide With Video

This article outlines the step-by-step procedures for installing bathroom basins onto two types of countertops:
  1. Standard Countertop Installation
  2. Wood-Support Countertop Installation
Each section includes detailed instructions and will feature an embedded installation video for additional guidance.

Standard Countertop Installation

Required Materials:

  1. Supplied mounting hardware and brackets
  2. Silicone adhesive
  3. Tools for screw tightening

Installation Steps:

  1. Prepare Components:
    1. Carefully unpack the basin and place it on a secure surface.
    2. Remove and retain all included mounting hardware.
    3. Unbox and place the countertop upside down on a stable surface. This is fragile, so handle with care and ask for assistance if needed.

  1. Align the Basin:
    1. Position the basin over the cutout in the countertop.
    2. Ensure the basin is centered relative to the faucet hole and evenly spaced at the mounting points.
    3. Confirm the basin overflow faces opposite the faucet.
    4. Use a pencil to mark the aligned position.

  1. Apply Silicone and Secure:
    1. Remove the basin and apply a bead of silicone around its top edge.
    2. Place the basin back within the marked area.
    3. Firmly press down to seat the basin.
    4. Add an extra bead of silicone along the basin’s outer edge for sealing.
    5. Attach brackets using the existing mounting hardware and tighten the screws.

  1. Cure and Final Assembly:
    1. Wait 24 hours to allow the silicone to fully cure before continuing.
    2. Apply silicone to the cabinet top and position the countertop securely in place.
    3. Affix the backsplash with silicone to complete the installation.
